The first burn of your candle is the most important. To prolong the life of your candle and to get the best results, set aside enough time so that your candle can remain lit continuously until a melt pool has formed all the way across the surface. This can take as long as 3-4 hours. Depending on the conditions in you room and the size of the candle. This sets the ‘memory ring’ of the wax and prevents tunnelling.
